Anti-Virus Software - Grisoft AVG

I am surprised how many church people become victims of computer viruses. Perhaps this is because many volunteers are not "computer people". However, it may also be because churches don't budget to pay for anti-virus software like Norton or McAfee for their volunteer's computers. Well, now there's no need to! Grisoft's Anti-Virus is an outstanding program, consistently testing as well as (and sometimes better than) commercial competitors... and it's free.

The big downside is that it is not authorized for use in church buildings themselves, so you'll still need to pay something for your office computer or computers in the church building used in media ministries and educational ministries. (However, it is relatively inexpensive and there are discounts available for nonprofits.)

It is, however, authorized for at-home use. So now there's no reason for the home computer of the pastor, or a volunteer treasurer, or similar volunteer to be without the virus protection needed.
